Just been through and tidied up my gallery... hopefully I havent taken anything away that anyone liked too much! A lot of it went into my scraps. I left the earlier photos in (even though some of them arent very good) so I can see how Ive changed (and hopefully improved!) over time.

Thank you for the critiques and the watch =D

I'm really diggin your work! keep it up!
No problem :)

Thanks :D
Here is some critiques :)

Afternoon sky and Eastern passage would look better if they were level. (Picasa can do those easy things and it is free!)

The Rose - The shadow in the back ground is a little distracting, A more even back ground and it would make the rose stand out more.

And the light house is good, but it would be more interesting if you got lower and had more of the foreground, the line in the bottom middle of your photo leading up to the light house is a strong point where it can draw the viewers eye in.

I think you are doing good, just focus on keeping the pictures straighter :) Hope that has helped!
Thanks - much appreciated! :)

Yeah I tried to make them level when I was taking them, but I don't have a steady hand (and I didn't have anything to rest on). Oooh thanks I'll look into that.

I was taking it against my wall which has posters just off to the right hand side, so I was a little limited! I'll definitely bear it in mind though!

That was literally the only chance I had to take it without people in the frame as it was really busy that day :( But I see your point - its a useful feature to look out for in the future :)

Thanks again!
You are welcome!

If you're using a little point and shoot they can be a pain in the butt. Picasa has level adjustment, saturation, contrast. The simple things that will add a bit more impact to your photos. Or you can get GIMP . . . More complicated to use but a much better program.

Even just hanging a sheet up can give a nice even background.

Like everything it is practice and learning :D
Im using a Canon powershot SX130 IS, and I really need to learn how to use it properly! Ive also got GIMP, but again, I need to learn how to use it...a project for the summer probably!

Haha yup!
hahaha you have the most original signature "If I comment on your work I do not expect you to check out my gallery..." by the way, your gallery is very great
